The Chevy Aveo was introduced in 2004 as a subcompact car. The 2004-2005 Aveo used a 1.6L engine that it shared with the Suzuki Swift and Suzuki Wave. 2004 year model engines had valve problems, so we only sell Aveo engines for this generation from 2005 engines, unless the customer requests otherwise. Either way, we warranty these Aveo engines for a year. Second generation Aveo engines ran from 2006-2008, again with a 1.6L engine, and third generation engines began in 2009 again with a 1.6L engine - you guessed it!

Prices on the engine itself can vary greatly from day to day based on availability - you should always call for a current quote. As to what your mechanic will charge you, plan on 12-15 hours of labor for this job.
